Sincerely the combination of all that black background with all the purple, Pink plus the green navigation makes me wanna hurl, the gif animation on the header is not needed and feels out of place. You are a great artist but you need help when it comes to the web, this is very important as a bad web design is a really big turnoff for those would be clients. I recommend you to seek help from one of the many good designers I've seen around Deviant. I myself would love to help you but right now am too busy with college to be of any use other than criticism.
This is what I do, I create original artwork and that is my major. Everything I put on my site is all my own work and creations...but just like bookeeping or any other job, I don't make enough to really pay for any kind of professionally designed website to be built for a place to display my work...hence to the work on my site is as free to download. I would love nothing more than to have someone who does just that, so I could dedicate all the rest of my hours doing what I do best...what would also be good is to have an agent or manager to know where and when to put so much of my work, because I'm really just an artist, and an artist to be of any success at all he needs a team of people to believe in the work that know how to take the work and make money at it...correct me if I'm wrong about anything I've stated here, because doing all those jobs myself when I'm supposed to be one of the main boards that supports the house, and I have no other 'boards' to make the house, so to speak.
You know, the world has only seen a small piece of what I've completed and created. It's not all easy as just putting a picture on a site to me. What I create is very personal to me and it's hard to always try to put what is part of me on display...basically I'm extremely picky. Anyway thanks again for replying back...what you say is true, but now you have a better picture of why my career is where it is and what I have to work with. Also, the second link about worst web designs, lol is comical, because someone actually submitted my website to the badwebsitedesign.com or something like that about 6 years ago...I got more than 50,000 hits from that alone, thought that was interesting.
